CDA Half Marathon

Elaina and I with our friends Brad and Brittany Niemeyer.  We trained for months and completed the CDA half marathon.  I don’t remember the results, but I’m pretty sure I beat everybody…. or lost to everybody…. no one really keeps track of that stuff anyway right?

The Playhouse

Elaina and I built a playhouse in the back yard.

This is a project where I start out teasing Elaina for her organizational skills followed by thanking her immensely for said organizational skills.

This is also a project where I realize how different our project/working styles are.

A project where I admit her way is much better than mine.

She spent about 30 minutes taking each piece out and stacking them alphabetically by part number.  I teased her at first, but honestly think she saved us about 6 hours worth work compared to the tornado-like mess I would have created.

 

Olivia didn’t care either way.  She is just happy to play.

Utah Trip Part 2

We met up with my friend Kevin Connor for some 4-wheeling out in the dunes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elaina came in 2nd place in her division of the St. George triathlon!

 

She even talked the kids into competing!

Big cats

A little outing for Olivia and the girls to ‘Cat Tails’ which is Spokane’s version of a cold, sad, zoo… for large cats.

 

 

We stumbled upon this carnival in a vacant lot and thought, “hey this looks legit and safe.  Let’s try out the roller coaster!”

Daisy and Lily played a game to win gold fish.

And by “played” and “win” I mean we finally spent enough money to actually buy the fish.

Both mom and dad said NO to bringing the fish home …… so…….  WE have a new pet!  It’ll only live for a month or so right?
