July 4th 2010

The 4th of July fell right in the middle of moving mayhem.  This was the most exhausting, busy week of our lives.  I hate moving… I'm using the word hate here....  on my tombstone I want it to say, “Moving Blows!” – Brian Matthews..
Always up for some procrastination, I was pleased to find non-moving activities on the 4th.  We started the week with Jase, Jane, and the kids at Jane’s grandparents house on the lake.CIMG6876CIMG6880CIMG6887

This was a period in Olivia’s life when she discovered the joy of stepping off of a step and running downhill.  Pure childhood joy:CIMG6891

This is probably the dirtiest Olivia has ever been in her entire life.  A perfect combination of dirt, sweat, watermelon, Doritos, and a runny noseCIMG6895

With Olivia’s sanitary condition and Trey helping with fireworks I’m surprised CPS wasn’t called.CIMG6905

The next day we hit up the parade....CIMG6909CIMG6914

Then we watched fireworks from the boat.

SOLD!

CIMG6852

On a whim we decided to put our house up for sale and find something bigger.  Who knew a 4 bedroom house with a huge yard would be too small for a family of three?

Our house sold pretty quickly.  Like, Panic.. holy cow we have to find a house to buy right now quickly.  It turned our lives into endless weekends and evenings driving around neighborhoods looking at houses.

Luckily our realtor found us a great house two doors down from him.  I’m pretty sure he just wants me to move in so I can help him carry heavy things.

It was a little sad taking our final pictures of the house:CIMG6922

This was our very first house.   The house we started our lives in.  The house we brought Olivia home to.  The house that we loved and gave us years of great memories.

We had a quiet moment as we packed the last item and hopped into the truck.  We were sad….  until we drove around the corner to our new place that we love even more.  In a neighborhood that we love even more.  To create new memories and maybe even bring new family members into.  So long Larix Court.
